Salma Hayek dodges wardrobe malfunction at BAFTA 2022
The Mexican actress dazzled on the BAFTA 2022 red carpet in a velvet dress that follows the 2022 gothic trend.
Salma Hayek arrived at the 2022 BAFTA Awards to conquer the red
carpet. It's no secret to anyone that the star of House of Gucci knows
perfectly how to make an impact at special events and her return to the
award ceremony, which is the equivalent of the 'British Oscars', was no
exception.
Mexican actress Salma Hayek walked the red carpet wearing a
gothic-inspired dress. It is a velvet design with slightly marked shoulder
pads and a neckline framed by lace details as well as the sleeves.
Salma
Hayek shone at the 2022 BAFTAs in a velvet dress and platform shoes.
As with the SAG Awards, the artist is experimenting with
new ways to express her distinctively alluring style. In said award, she did
it through transparent gloves and a well-marked satin dress in her waist
area, this time she does it with a garment that has a wide opening at the
height of the legs.
Salma Hayek's look follows the gothic trend that took
over several catwalks during the past Fashion Weeks. Through velvet gowns,
the use of lace, and a lingering presence of black and purple hues, the
fashion houses seem to be romancing the style of Morticia Addams.
To complement her dress, Salma selected one of her
favorite shoes: platforms with a satin finish, very ad hoc with the gothic
style of the rest of her styling. In times where peep toes have taken over
red carpets, the actress brought back the romantic round toe shoes.
