A Gold-Painted Cara Delevingne Walked the Met Gala 2022 Red Carpet

Cara Delevingne set the Met Gala 2022 red carpet on fire with her unique and out-of-the-world look. Actress and singer, began her career in a modest role in Joe Wright’s 2012 film adaptation of Anna Karenina. The model-turned-actress first made a name for herself in the fashion industry with her debut runway show for Burberry Autumn/Winter 2011.

Del appeared on the Met Gala 2022 red carpet in a red showman outfit. The highlight of her appearance was her gold bodypaint which she decided to hide until the last moment.



The Met Gala 2022 is all about the gilded age’s charm, splendor, and vintage couture. While celebrities strolled the red carpet, each looking better than the next. A brave few made risky choices, interpreting the subject in various ways.

While Blake Lively’s Versace gown utterly captured our hearts, Cara Delevingne’s unexpected yet breathtaking appearance left us speechless. Cara has walked the Met Gala red carpet every year since her debut in 2011. She raised eyebrows again more with her daring dress choice. To complete the outfit, she wore a red Dior Haute Couture suit and carried a walking stick. 



The red showman outfit included cigarette pants and a double-breasted jacket with tails. She boosted her appearance with a pair of towering silk red shoes. Everyone was utterly taken aback after Delevingne took off her jacket, displaying her bare chest coated in glittering gold body paint.

She complemented the ‘Gilded Glamour’ style with a pair of gold nipple covers and a slew of gold chains. Delevingne’s wrists, hands, and even her feet were gold-painted. Her eye makeup was also a standout feature of her outfit. She had brilliant gems and crystals lining her eyes. She completed her outfit with a gorgeous pink lipgloss.
