While recovering from abdominal surgery, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has chosen to align herself closely with Kensington Palace in the wake of a photo manipulation scandal. This stands in potential contrast to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
On March 11, concerns arose when news and photo agencies raised suspicions about the authenticity of a new photo released by the Palace in honor of Mother's Day in the UK.
Maintaining a subdued presence, the Duchess is presently recuperating from unspecified abdominal surgery.
Christopher Andersen, the author of "The King," shared insights with Fox News Digital, suggesting that Kate Middleton assumed responsibility for the photo controversy—a decision that has sparked widespread speculation and conspiracy theories regarding her health.
"Andersen noted, "Princess Diana would never have considered altering a photo, fully aware of the backlash she would face if she did. Diana was independent and would not have complied with such requests from the palace."
"In contrast, Kate Middleton tends to be more compliant and eager to please," Andersen added. "She has always been a team player among senior royals, willing to 'go along to get along.' There is growing concern that she might be taken advantage of, particularly as it becomes evident that her health situation may be more serious than previously disclosed."
In a statement shared on social media, the 42-year-old mother of three expressed her regrets, saying, "Like many amateur photographers, I occasionally experiment with editing."
"I apologize for any confusion caused by the family photograph we shared yesterday," she added. "I hope everyone celebrating had a joyful Mother’s Day."
The message was signed with a "C" for Catherine.
