Prince Harry Responds Following Home Office Battle Defeat

In the wake of a court ruling regarding his security arrangements, Prince Harry has broken his silence and expressed his intentions to appeal the decision made by the Home Office.

The Duke of Sussex, whose claim for automatic police protection in the UK was dismissed by a judge on Wednesday, is now gearing up to challenge the High Court ruling in the Court of Appeal, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Harry.

While awaiting further legal proceedings, Prince Harry refrained from providing additional comments on the matter.

Judge Sir Peter Lane rejected Harry's plea in a written ruling, stemming from the Duke's legal action against the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) over their decision in February 2020 to reduce his security measures during his visits to the UK.

Despite Harry's challenge, Justice Lane found no unlawfulness in Ravec's decision-making process.

This development comes shortly after Prince Harry hinted at the possibility of bringing his family to the UK in a recent interview, expressing a desire for his father King Charles' illness to potentially reunite the family.

Notably, this marks the second legal setback for Prince Harry concerning his security arrangements, following a prior High Court ruling against his challenge to the government's refusal to allow him to fund his own police protection.
