Meghan Markle's Podcast Comeback Hits Major Setback Before Launch

Meghan Markle's anticipated return to the podcasting scene, with a new deal announced with Lemonada Media in February, faces significant hurdles before it even gets off the ground.

The Duchess of Sussex's plans for the second iteration of her Archetypes podcast have been put on hold for this year, according to a report from royal author Richard Eden in the Daily Mail. Citing insider sources, it's claimed that the relaunch of Meghan's podcast has been pushed back to 2025.

Reportedly, Lemonada Media opted for the delay to prevent the podcast from overshadowing Meghan's ongoing TV project, which she recently started filming. Additionally, concerns about scheduling clashes with the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, have also been cited.

Meghan's previous podcasting venture with Spotify, where she released the first season of Archetypes in 2022, featured notable guests such as Serena Wilson, Mariah Carey, and Candace Bushnell. However, the unexpected termination of the Sussexes' multi-million dollar deal with Spotify in June 2023 has left the future of Meghan's podcasting endeavors uncertain.
