Queen Elizabeth Declined Sweet Honor for Lilibet Months Before Passing

Queen Elizabeth II, known for her affection for grandson Prince Harry, declined a significant request regarding his youngest child, Princess Lilibet, just three months before her death.

Born in June 2021, Princess Lilibet was named after the Queen's beloved childhood nickname. On her first birthday, Prince Harry sought his grandmother's permission for an official photo with his daughter to commemorate the occasion.

Royal expert Camilla Tominey revealed to The Telegraph that during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to the UK in 2022, they immediately headed to Windsor Castle upon arrival at Farnborough Airport.

However, Queen Elizabeth "rejected their request for professional photographs with Archie, three, and her namesake, Lilibet, one."

Tominey explained that the Queen cited a "bloodshot eye" and deftly denied the Sussexes the photo opportunity they desired.

Despite Harry's persistence, as reported by those present at the meeting, the desired photo of the two Lilibets together was never taken. Queen Elizabeth passed away three months later in September 2022.
