The royal family's approach toward Prince Andrew, who faces serious allegations, has drawn sharp rebuke for what some perceive as hypocrisy and callousness.
In an interview with the Daily Express, PR expert Ed Coram-James condemned the royal family's reluctance to take a definitive stance against the Duke of York, noting their decision to maintain a close relationship with him despite the serious nature of the accusations.
"The Royal Family's ambiguous handling of the Prince Andrew saga has exacerbated the situation," remarked Coram-James. "Their failure to take a clear position has only fueled public scrutiny and worsened their image."
He went on to critique their strategy of creating distance from Prince Andrew while keeping him within the royal fold, suggesting that this approach has led to negative associations with the royal brand without providing any tangible benefits.
"While Prince Andrew remains connected to the family, his diminished role as a working royal has left the institution in a precarious position," Coram-James observed. "The lack of decisive action has only served to perpetuate the controversy surrounding him."
As calls for accountability grow louder, King Charles and Prince William face increasing pressure to address the situation head-on and mitigate the damage to the royal family's reputation.
