Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated Netflix project, POLO, is set to debut on December 10, offering an in-depth look at the dynamic world of polo, a sport closely tied to Harry’s life.
The five-part series, executive produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, explores "fierce rivalries and intense training," providing an inside view of the dedication and skill required to excel at the sport’s highest level, according to Netflix.
The docuseries also highlights compelling personal stories, from a young player navigating immense pressure from a demanding father to a father-son duo hailed as polo legends.
Unlike their record-breaking debut series, Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry will not take center stage in POLO. Instead, the spotlight will shine on his close friend, famed polo player Nacho Figueras.
The Sussexes’ multi-million-dollar Netflix deal, signed in 2020 after stepping down as senior royals, continues to establish them as impactful storytellers.
Their previous Netflix venture, Heart of Invictus, brought to life the inspiring journeys of competitors in the Invictus Games. While it garnered praise, it didn’t achieve the monumental success of Harry & Meghan.
With POLO, the couple aims to offer a mix of action, drama, and heartfelt storytelling, further diversifying their creative portfolio while celebrating a sport deeply connected to Harry’s identity.
