Masked Intruders Spark Safety Concerns Amid Princess Kate’s Health Recovery
Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly facing sleepless nights following a shocking security breach at Windsor Castle, where two masked men raided the property and stole farm vehicles.
The intruders broke through a gate near Adelaide Cottage, the Wales family’s residence, on Sunday night. Although William, Kate, and their children were unharmed, the incident has left the family shaken. King Charles and Queen Camilla were not present at Windsor during the break-in.
“This is horrific because at a time when [William and Kate] are already under immense stress due to her health concerns, this is the last thing they need,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.
Fordwich expressed disbelief over the current security measures. “Who on Earth could sleep well at night knowing this sort of violation of their safety has taken place?” she asked, adding that the removal of visible armed guards to accommodate tourists’ preferences might need reconsideration. “Surely, tourists would be calm and happy to see the royal family protected by armed guards!”
The Sun reported that the intruders used a stolen truck to smash through the security gate at the Shaw Farm Gate exit to make their escape. Alarms were reportedly set off, but the breach wasn’t discovered until the truck crashed through the barrier.
Adelaide Cottage, located on Windsor grounds, is a mere five-minute drive from the scene of the crime. William’s family was believed to be asleep during the raid as it occurred late on a school night.
The security scare comes at a time when the Wales family is already grappling with significant stress, with Kate focusing on her recovery from a health battle. The breach underscores the challenges of maintaining safety for the royals amid rising public scrutiny and logistical complexities.
