Her family shared a heartbreaking statement, revealing that the toll of the abuse she endured became "so heavy it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight."
However, attention has now turned to resurfaced social media posts made by Giuffre years earlier — messages that could spell further problems for Andrew and the wider royal family. In December 2019, Giuffre responded to a post on Twitter (now X) warning that she could be silenced to protect the rich and powerful.
“I am making it publicly known that in no way, shape or form am I suicidal,” Giuffre wrote at the time. “I have made this known to my therapist and GP — if something happens to me, for the sake of my family, do not let this go away. Help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me silenced.”
Her comments resurfaced over the weekend after U.S. Congresswoman Nancy Mace reshared them, drawing fresh attention to the case.
While no formal disputes have been raised against the Giuffre family's account of her passing, the renewed focus on her warnings has triggered speculation that Andrew may once again face intense public scrutiny.
The Duke — who was stripped of his military titles and royal patronages in 2019 following the scandal — recently faced backlash after appearing alongside the royal family at their Easter Sunday service. His attendance drew public anger, with many questioning how he continues to participate in royal life despite never admitting wrongdoing, even after settling Giuffre’s lawsuit.
With the latest revelations dominating headlines, Andrew is likely to remain under uncomfortable scrutiny — a development Buckingham Palace has reportedly been eager to avoid.
