Duke of Sussex highlights youth empowerment following emotional appearance in Brooklyn
Harry, father to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, delivered an important message about the future of children after attending a significant event in Brooklyn.
The Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance at the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund (RTYPF) Convening, just a day after attending an emotional evening commemorating lives lost to social media.
Following the event, the Sussex office issued a detailed statement emphasising Harry’s commitment to shaping a safer and more inclusive digital future.
At the gathering, which brought together young leaders, funders, and partners, discussions focused on ethical artificial intelligence, the impact of social media on teen mental health, and the use of technology to address global challenges such as climate change.
During his address, King Charles’ youngest son stressed “the critical role of youth voices in the responsible technology movement” and shared how deeply inspired he was by the vision and courage of RTYPF’s young leaders.
The statement also reiterated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain “vocal advocates for a healthier digital landscape, championing responsible tech through community engagement, policy reform, and youth empowerment.”
Their vision, it added, is for a future where “technology fosters human connection, ensures safety, and prioritises the well-being of all users.”
