Duke reflects on children's disconnect from royal heritage ahead of Windsor celebrations
Prince Harry is reportedly feeling a renewed sense of concern for his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as they remain distant from the royal traditions he once cherished growing up in the United Kingdom.
With the Royal Family set to gather at Windsor Castle for their annual Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel—followed by a festive lunch and the much-loved Easter egg hunt—Harry and his family are expected to spend the holiday quietly in California, far from the celebrations.
According to the Express, royal commentator Tom Quinn revealed the Duke of Sussex’s private sadness over Archie and Lilibet’s growing detachment from their royal roots.
“The Royal Family traditionally meet on Easter Sunday at Windsor for a service, followed by a brief walkabout and then a very traditional lunch of roast lamb,” Quinn explained.
“Harry always enjoyed this tradition because he got to meet an adoring public for a short period. But what’s really going to upset him this year is that his children will miss out on the Easter egg hunt that takes place afterwards,” he added.
The Duke’s feelings reportedly stem from a deeper concern that his children are missing out on not only festive moments but also a cultural connection to their heritage—something he once valued deeply.
