Royals unite in honouring the courage and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women
Prince William and Princess Kate have shared a moving tribute in honour of Anzac Day, following emotional messages from King Charles and Prince Harry.
The Prince and Princess of Wales participated in London’s commemorations, with William laying a wreath at the Cenotaph and later attending a service at Westminster Abbey on April 25. The royal couple also posted a touching message on their official Instagram Story:
"On ANZAC Day, we honour the courage, sacrifice and spirit of the Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women, past and present, who have served our nation with pride."
Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in 1915, a campaign where thousands of Australian and New Zealand soldiers lost their lives during World War One.
Prince William, wearing a red poppy, and Princess Kate joined hundreds of UK-based Australians and New Zealanders at the Westminster Abbey service, continuing the Royal Family’s longstanding tradition of honouring Anzac heroes.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry also paid tribute through the Invictus Games Foundation's Instagram account, upholding the royal tradition of remembrance despite stepping back from royal duties.
The messages from William, Kate, and Harry come after Buckingham Palace released an official statement and shared images from the wreath-laying ceremony, offering a powerful and united moment of reflection across the Royal Family.
