Princess Catherine is quietly stepping into a role once held by a key royal figure, as she supports Prince William in his growing responsibilities ahead of his future reign.
Determined not to "outshine" her husband, the Princess of Wales is focusing on playing an influential role behind the scenes, mirroring the quiet strength Prince Philip once offered Queen Elizabeth II.
According to The Times, Catherine allows William to take the public lead while handling crucial royal duties herself, including important decision-making. A royal insider shared, "Catherine is hugely influential behind the scenes in hiring and strategy, and they approach it as a team. Like the late Queen and Prince Philip, and the current King and Queen, they’re a strong double act."
Royal biographer Penny Junor also noted, "Kate is a bit like Prince Philip supporting the Queen. She never tries to outshine William but has a great deal to say herself."
At home, Catherine plays an equally vital role, providing William with unwavering support by maintaining stability for their family and focusing on raising their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
