Catherine to Support King Charles at VE Day Amid Fallout from Harry’s Revelations

Princess expected to deliver subtle message of unity during royal family's first joint appearance

Catherine is preparing to stand beside King Charles during the upcoming VE Day commemorations, as the royal family gathers for the first time since the Duke of Sussex’s controversial remarks about the monarch’s health.

The King and Queen Camilla will be joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales and other senior royals to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, honouring the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Sources suggest the future Queen will offer a visible sign of support by wearing meaningful jewels that honour wartime heroes and reflect royal tradition.

Speaking to GB News, jewellery expert Tobias Kormind said Catherine’s selections are expected to be rich in symbolism. “Each chosen piece will not only reflect personal sentiment but pay tribute to the enduring spirit of the wartime generation,” he explained.

He added that the VE Day procession will allow Catherine to showcase a combination of historic brooches and pieces linked to military service. As honorary Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards, she may opt for the 18K gold shamrock brooch, traditionally worn by royal women connected to the regiment.

This appearance comes shortly after Harry’s legal loss over his UK security arrangements and his emotional BBC interview, in which he said life is “precious” and hinted at reconciliation, given uncertainty around the King's health.

However, his remarks have been met with criticism, with former royal butler Grant Harrold stating, “I think the King will definitely feel betrayed… because this is confidential information that Harry has discussed with the media.”

As public attention returns to the royal family, Catherine’s poised presence is expected to signal quiet solidarity with the King and reinforce the family’s focus on national remembrance and unity.
