The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have remained largely distanced from the UK royals since stepping back from official duties in 2020, were notably excluded from recent royal events that spotlighted former footballer David Beckham — once a close friend of Harry’s — and his wife, Victoria.
David’s invitation to high-profile royal appearances, including the Chelsea Flower Show and celebrations tied to King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales, has been interpreted by some as a clear sign that the royals are solidifying ties with the Beckhams — while leaving Harry and Meghan out.
However, according to a report by Closer Magazine, the Sussexes have responded by aligning themselves with the Beckhams’ estranged son, Brooklyn, and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz. The source dubbed the new circle a potential "US Fab Four" — a play on the term once used for the former royal quartet of Harry, Meghan, William, and Catherine.
“Creating this new power alliance is a big slap in the face for David, Victoria, and the royals,” the source claimed. “But the four have zero qualms or regrets about that because they all feel like they’ve been so badly wronged.”
The insider added that Meghan has extended kindness and support to Nicola amid her reported fallout with the Beckham family, with the two women allegedly building a bond through frequent texts and calls.
“This blooming friendship with the Sussexes is one silver lining... They're talking and texting a lot,” the report noted.
While the royal family continues to nurture its ties with the elder Beckhams, the Sussexes seem to be cultivating their own stateside circle — one based on shared experiences of scrutiny, fractured family ties, and public reinvention.
