Duke of Sussex surprises Fulham residents during solo search for friends
Prince Harry accidentally sparked confusion in a quiet London neighbourhood after he was captured on a Ring doorbell camera knocking on the wrong door while trying to locate a friend’s home during his recent UK visit.
According to The Sun, the Duke of Sussex, dressed in a sharp blue suit, appeared visibly lost as he searched for the residence of his aristocrat friends, John and Georgina Vaughan, in Fulham. But as neighbours revealed to the Daily Mail, the property is now rented by a Spanish family, despite still being owned by the Vaughans.
“I think he got the numbers muddled up,” said one local. “I just feel very sorry for him.”
Another resident speculated that Harry may have walked from a nearby pub he once frequented, while a third admitted, “We were shocked to see it was him on the camera.”
The incident occurred during a tense trip linked to Harry’s legal battle over the loss of taxpayer-funded security. Speaking to the BBC, Harry remarked, “The King won’t speak to me because of this security stuff,” and expressed concern for his father’s health, saying, “I do not know how much longer my father has.”
Though he claimed his safety was at risk without formal protection, Harry reportedly ordered a Deliveroo to the home where he was staying — a move some found contradictory.
Despite the mishap, local reaction was largely good-humoured. One neighbour said warmly, “If he’d knocked on my door, I would have invited him in.”
