Duke in 'permanent battle mode' after emotional fallout from BBC interview and court loss
Prince Harry is grappling with the emotional fallout of his own decisions as tensions with the royal family reach a new low, insiders claim.
Following his controversial BBC interview and the recent rejection of his UK security appeal, King Charles is said to feel “betrayed” by the Duke’s latest remarks — further straining their already fragile relationship.
Royal commentators have noted that Harry appeared visibly shaken during the interview, with one source telling HELLO! that the situation has “taken its toll” on the Duke. “He sees things everywhere, he picks battles with everybody, and that's tiring,” the insider revealed. “You can’t live in permanent battle mode. You're a 40-year-old man. You’ve got to stop fighting the world.”
Though the King, currently undergoing weekly cancer treatment, reportedly still harbours affection for his son, Prince William remains resolutely opposed to any form of reconciliation. “There is zero trust,” a palace source stated. “The family feel that private conversations with Harry are not possible.”
Despite Harry’s public appeals for peace, insiders confirm that the royal household — particularly with William’s influence — has no plans to reopen the door. As one source put it, “The door is firmly bolted.”
