Prince Harry’s Charity Sentebale Hit by New Resignation Amid Growing Scandal

Another trustee steps down as investigation and misconduct claims shake the foundation

Prince Harry’s charity Sentebale has suffered yet another blow, with trustee Nerissa Naidu resigning just weeks after the Duke of Sussex and co-founder Prince Seeiso were reportedly “forced to resign” under mounting pressure.

Naidu, a South African entrepreneur who joined the board on March 25, stepped down quietly. According to Sentebale, her departure was amicable, citing “other professional commitments,” and she was thanked for her “tremendous support.”

Her exit follows that of Dr. Margaret Ikpoh, leaving only three trustees on the board: Iain Rawlinson, Dr. Bhakti Hansoti, and Dr. Sophie Chandauka. Chandauka recently made explosive claims against the charity, accusing it of “abuse of power, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir, and the cover-up that ensued.”

“Beneath all the victim narrative and fiction is the story of a woman who dared to blow the whistle,” she told The Times.

Prince Harry responded on April 3 with a strongly worded statement, calling Chandauka’s accusations “blatant lies” and saying the situation had been “heartbreaking to witness.” He welcomed the ongoing investigation by the UK’s Charity Commission, adding, “We fully expect it will unveil the truth that collectively forced us to resign.”

Founded in 2006 to honour Princess Diana’s legacy, Sentebale was established to help vulnerable youth in Southern Africa. Now, it faces one of its most serious crises to date as it navigates leadership instability and damaging public claims.
