Prince Harry’s supporters are rallying behind him following a fresh wave of online criticism led by Piers Morgan, reminding detractors of the Duke of Sussex’s decade-long service in the British Army, including two tours in Afghanistan.
Morgan, a long-time critic of the Sussexes, intensified his attacks after Harry’s BBC interview, in which the Duke spoke about his failed legal bid for UK police protection and his strained relationship with the Royal Family. The former Good Morning Britain host took to X (formerly Twitter), calling Harry a “hypocritical little twerp” and a “pathetic little brat,” sparking backlash from many users.
One user replied, “Come on Piers! No member of the Royal Family is deserving of this kind of vehement vitriol. Harry was a dutiful and loyal British soldier for 10 years—you’re going too far.”
Another added, “Whether it’s about Meghan or Harry, you seem to lose all control. This ranting is becoming exhausting.”
Harry, who served as a working royal during wartime, has long been praised for his commitment to military duty. Rising to the rank of Captain and serving in combat zones, he has also continued to advocate for veterans through initiatives like the Invictus Games.
