Eugenie seen as vital bridge between Prince Harry’s children and their royal roots
Princess Eugenie may be preparing to make a meaningful move in support of Prince Harry’s children, potentially playing a key role in maintaining their connection to the royal family.
Though Harry remains estranged from much of the monarchy — including his cancer-stricken father King Charles — he continues to share a close bond with Eugenie, who has long been one of his most trusted relatives. Amid reports that Harry's attempts to reconnect with the Palace have gone unanswered, royal biographer Hugo Vickers believes Eugenie could become a “crucial link” for Archie and Lilibet.
“She is the one who is still able to be in touch with them,” Vickers told The Sun. “She, I suspect, could be the one who could link the children together.”
As a mother of two young sons, August and Ernest, Eugenie understands the importance of family ties. With Harry reportedly worried that Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, might grow up isolated from their royal cousins and heritage, Eugenie could step in to ensure those bonds are preserved — perhaps even helping to bridge the gap between the Sussexes and King Charles.
Although some, including Piers Morgan, have claimed there’s been a falling out between Harry and Eugenie, a source close to the family told People that the two “have and always will be” close. Royal editor Matt Wilkinson further emphasised that Eugenie may be “the last remaining link” between Harry and the royal fold.
Whether by fostering a relationship between the cousins or quietly working behind the scenes, Eugenie may yet play a quiet but powerful role in healing the family rift — and ensuring the next generation doesn't grow up entirely separated by royal divides.
