Monarch honors inspirational youth alongside Hollywood guests and charity champions
King Charles welcomed George and Amal Clooney to Buckingham Palace in a heartwarming reception celebrating the winners of The King’s Trust Awards 2025. The event, hosted at the monarch’s official London residence, brought together an esteemed group of honorees, charity ambassadors, and global icons to spotlight the achievements of young changemakers from across the UK and beyond.
The King was joined by the Clooneys and actress Dame Joanna Lumley in honoring recipients across eleven categories, which included Enterprise, Education, Community Impact, Sustainability, and the Amal Clooney Women’s Empowerment Award. The reception also celebrated a major milestone: the 10th anniversary of The King’s Trust International.
His Majesty met personally with each of the UK award winners—young people who have demonstrated resilience, ambition, and transformation in the face of adversity. The celebration also featured three standout international honorees, recognized for global achievement and empowerment.
In a warm finale to the afternoon, King Charles marked the Trust’s anniversary with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, underlining his lifelong commitment to championing youth potential.
Founded on the belief that every young person deserves a chance to succeed regardless of background or hardship, The King’s Trust remains one of the Crown’s most impactful initiatives—now celebrated on a global stage with powerful supporters at its side.
