Future king expected to follow in father’s footsteps at Eton College
Prince William and Catherine have reportedly made a final decision about their eldest son’s education, with insiders revealing that Prince George is set to attend Eton College.
According to reports, after months of consideration and private school visits, the royal couple have quietly agreed that the prestigious all-boys boarding school, which also educated William, is the right fit for their son.
“All roads lead to Eton,” a source told the Daily Mail, confirming that the young royal would begin in September 2026.
George, currently enrolled at Lambrook School in Berkshire with his siblings, would become the latest in a line of royals to attend the historic institution located near Windsor Castle. Its close proximity to Adelaide Cottage is said to have influenced the couple’s decision.
While Catherine’s alma mater, Marlborough College, was among the options, and despite her recent interest in Highgate School during a private tour, Eton’s combination of tradition and location appears to have tipped the balance.
Though Kensington Palace has yet to make an official announcement, Eton is reportedly preparing to welcome its most high-profile future pupil in just over a year.
