Future King highlights ocean conservation amid reports of ‘burned bridges’ with brother
Prince William has made a fresh video appearance even as insiders claim any chance of reconciliation with Harry is now out of reach.
The Prince of Wales featured in the third episode of his Guardians docuseries, spotlighting the inspiring transformation of José Luis Cesena Calderon, a former illegal fisher in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.
In the latest episode, William praised Calderon for becoming one of the “ocean’s greatest protectors,” as part of his ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the vital role wildlife rangers play in protecting nature.
A joint post from the Prince and Princess of Wales and United for Wildlife shared a clip from the new episode, accompanied by a detailed caption.
"The latest episode of Guardians chronicles the remarkable journey of Captain José, a former illegal fisher who has become a key protector of the Sea of Cortez in the Gulf of California," the post reads.
"Drawing upon his deep understanding of both legal and illegal fishing practices, José now leads nighttime patrols to intercept and deter illegal activity, earning the respect of local fishers, communities, and authorities alike."
"His transformation has positioned him as a critical figure in safeguarding the reef for future generations."
William’s video appearance comes just as an insider told US Weekly that reconciliation between the brothers seems impossible, with “bridges burned on both sides” and “no turning back” from the years-long rift between the royal family and the Sussexes.
