Princess Anne’s Daughter Set to Support William’s Reign as Trusted Family Ally Amid Harry Rift
Zara Tindall has reportedly gained Prince William’s trust for a future prominent role within the monarchy, offering a fresh chapter of royal involvement for Princess Anne’s family.
Though not a working royal, Zara’s down-to-earth nature and deep family loyalty have positioned her as a respected and relatable figure. According to royal commentator Jennie Bond, the Prince of Wales is already envisioning who he can depend on when his time as King arrives—and Zara is firmly on that list.
“Zara is relatable, respected, and very well-liked,” Bond told The Mirror. “Bringing her into the fold makes perfect sense, especially as William seeks support from the family he deeply trusts.”
The decision reflects William’s vision for a loyal and streamlined monarchy, bolstered by dependable family figures. While Zara is set to gain new responsibilities, the Duke of Sussex is expected to remain on the sidelines.
Bond noted that Harry’s absence is a personal loss for William. “Harry would have been his main confidant, someone he could genuinely depend upon,” she said. “But this estrangement means he will miss out on a significant role in the future royal household.”
As William prepares for the future, Zara’s expanded involvement may help stabilise and modernise the royal family's public image—while filling a void once reserved for his brother.
