King Charles Launches Luxe ‘Moss in a Bottle’ Fragrance with Penhaligon’s

New limited-edition scent inspired by the King’s cherished Highgrove Estate

Royal fans can now experience a whiff of King Charles’s personal style—literally. The monarch has partnered with prestigious British perfumery Penhaligon's to release Daphne Bouquet Eau De Parfum, a luxurious new fragrance inspired by the woodlands of his beloved Highgrove Estate.

Retailing at £175, the perfume is a refined blend of moss, blackcurrant leaf, tropical grass vetiver, and the soft, floral scent of the daphne flower. Described by Highgrove’s official website as “a tribute to vibrant woodland florals,” the scent offers “luminous floral facets and aromatic radiance, a fragrant folklore bursting with joyful energy.”

The release continues a long tradition of royal connections with Penhaligon's. The brand first received a Royal Warrant in 1902 from Queen Alexandra and later from Prince Philip in 1956. Charles, then Prince of Wales, granted the perfumery another warrant in 1988—one he renewed in 2024 as King, naming Penhaligon's his official royal perfumer.

Proceeds from the new fragrance support The King's Trust, with the collaboration serving not only as a celebration of the King's personal taste, but also as a charitable initiative close to his heart.

This isn't the King's first olfactory venture. He previously worked with Penhaligon's on a scent inspired by summer at Highgrove House, showing his affinity for nature and horticulture through fragrance.

With Daphne Bouquet, King Charles blends his love for the environment, refined British craftsmanship, and philanthropic legacy—all captured in a bottle.
