Royal expert claims late Queen feared Harry was being ‘manipulated’ amid Meghan’s rising profile
Meghan Markle is once again at the center of royal controversy, with new claims suggesting she “betrayed” the Duke of Sussex—sparking renewed debate over Prince William’s early concerns about their relationship.
Royal biographer Sally Bedell, a close contact of Queen Elizabeth II’s inner circle, alleged that the late monarch feared her grandson might be displaying “weakness” in his dynamic with Meghan. Bedell, who was reportedly close to Lady Elizabeth Anson, a trusted cousin and confidante of the Queen, claimed that Meghan had strategically used her royal status to elevate her fame.
Commentator Phil Dampier echoed these sentiments, stating that the revelations come “straight from the horse’s mouth,” and describing the claims as “very telling.” In an interview with The Sun, Dampier said he had long believed Meghan “never truly intended to remain part of the royal family.”
“She viewed marrying Harry as a gateway to greater fame and fortune,” Dampier added, highlighting how Prince William’s early apprehensions about Meghan’s intentions have, in his view, now proven accurate.
The timing of these accusations comes amid Meghan’s recent high-profile career moves, leading to increased public scrutiny and renewed speculation about her long-term intentions.
