Duchess of York marks World Humanitarian Day as she joins the Royal retreat with Andrew
Sarah Ferguson has shared a heartfelt message of thanks just as reports emerged that she and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, were invited by King Charles III to join the Royal Family at Balmoral Castle.
On August 19, the Duchess of York marked World Humanitarian Day with an Instagram post reflecting on her decades of charitable work. “Today on World Humanitarian Day, I’m filled with gratitude and hope,” she wrote, alongside photos of her humanitarian efforts over the years.
She highlighted her charity initiatives, noting: “We’ve delivered aid to Afghan and Ukrainian refugees, brought essential supplies to NHS workers through Sarah’s Trust, and championed education for children via Children in Crisis, educating over 1.4 million children and building 57 schools.”
Fergie closed her statement with a message about the power of kindness: “As I stand alongside inspiring youth activists, I’m reminded of one simple truth: that small acts of kindness can spark extraordinary change.”
Her words came amid ongoing scrutiny of Andrew following claims made in Andrew Lownie’s book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York. Despite the controversy, the King’s invitation to Balmoral has been seen by royal watchers as a notable show of family support.
“The Balmoral invitation is a huge show of support,” an insider told The Sun.
