Prince Harry may be taking steps toward reconciling with King Charles after years of family tension. According to new reports, the Duke of Sussex has agreed to stop releasing further tell-alls in an effort to extend an olive branch to the royal family.
Harry, who will return to London on September 8 for the WellChild Awards, is said to have made the decision with the future of his children, Archie and Lilibet, in mind. Majesty magazine editor Ingrid Seward claimed that “the Duke won’t be sharing more secrets as he seeks to extend an olive branch to the royal family.”
The shift reportedly follows a private meeting in London between Harry’s team and aides for the King, sparking speculation of a new chapter in their strained relationship. According to insiders, Harry’s chief communications officer Meredith Maines and UK head of PR Liam Maguire met with Charles’s communications secretary Tobyn Andreae at a private members’ club.
The discreet summit is being seen as the first real step toward healing the rift. However, questions remain, with some reports suggesting Prince William was not informed of the talks.
Harry’s UK visit comes after a three-month absence, following his unsuccessful legal battle to reinstate taxpayer-funded security during trips home.
