Prince of Wales spends private time with father amid royal family tensions
Kensington Palace has released an update on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s charitable work just hours after reports of a private meeting between Prince William and King Charles at Balmoral.
On Thursday night, 25 September, the couple’s official Instagram account shared a video from the Tom Dean Swim School, highlighting a new partnership with Olympic gold medallist Tom Dean MBE through The Royal Foundation.
The post read: “Amazing work happening at @tomdeanswimschool to improve young people’s access to a potentially lifesaving skill, delivered with support from The Royal Foundation.”
The social media message came soon after William was spotted arriving in the Scottish Highlands. The Prince of Wales landed at Aberdeen Airport before travelling to Balmoral Castle, where he is expected to stay with the King for several days.
The visit has prompted speculation that father and son may use the time to address ongoing family tensions. It also coincides with renewed scrutiny of the House of York, as Sarah Ferguson’s past ties to Jeffrey Epstein have resurfaced.
For now, Kensington Palace is keeping the public focus on William and Catherine’s foundation work, even as private discussions take place behind closed doors at Balmoral.
