Duke makes long-awaited visit to Clarence House during UK trip
After months of speculation, Prince Harry has reunited with King Charles at Clarence House, the King’s residence in London. Harry was seen arriving by car, marking the first time father and son have met in person since February 2024 — nearly 18 months after the King revealed he was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed cancer.
Harry is currently on a four-day visit to the UK, during which he has attended several events, including the WellChild Awards, and is expected to appear at an engagement linked to the Invictus Games. Yet his return would have felt incomplete without seeing his father.
In the past, Harry has acknowledged that his memoir Spare strained family relations and made communication difficult. A source told People that the King had previously stopped taking Harry’s calls and left messages unanswered. Speaking to BBC News in May, Harry said he hoped for “reconciliation” with his family.
The reunion comes as quiet concern grows about the King’s health. Sources told Radar Online that while Charles appears upbeat in public, he is “much weaker than he lets on.” One insider said, “Behind palace doors, his health is no joke. The smiles and humour are a mask.”
For many, this meeting signals a small but meaningful step toward mending a fractured relationship, even as uncertainty about the King’s health lingers in the background.
