Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s father highlights support for young victims following meeting with the King
Prince Harry’s third day in the United Kingdom was marked by a series of significant visits, including a long-anticipated reunion with his father King Charles. Before the meeting, Harry’s car was seen arriving at Clarence House as the King returned from Scotland. The reunion came shortly before Harry visited the Imperial College London’s Blast Injury Centre, where he learned about pioneering research into paediatric blast and crush injuries.
During the visit, the Duke of Sussex met with Hugh Brady, President of Imperial College, representatives from Save the Children, and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization. The discussions focused on the urgent need for global action to protect children affected by conflict, many of whom are facing death, injury, or starvation.
Harry, a devoted father to Archie and Lilibet, appeared deeply moved by the centre’s work. Following the visit, his office released a statement praising the collaboration between the facility, Save the Children, and WHO.
“Every time I return here, I’m struck by the commitment, innovation, and compassion that drives your work,” Harry said. “From the labs I opened over a decade ago, to today’s focus on prosthetics for children, the progress and dedication are extraordinary. The voices we heard today remind us that behind every dataset is a child — a child in pain, in need of care, and deserving of a future.”
The statement also noted that Meghan Markle and the Archewell Foundation remain committed to supporting the cause, reaffirming their shared mission to improve the lives of children affected by conflict.
