Palace shares Camilla’s first video since Balmoral amid reports of William’s demand
Queen Camilla returned to public duties on September 2 after the Balmoral break, carrying out a series of engagements in Cornwall. In a video shared by Buckingham Palace, she was seen celebrating the 25th anniversary of ShelterBox UK, an international disaster relief charity she has supported for years.
At the charity’s Truro headquarters, Camilla met staff and volunteers and learned how ShelterBox has adapted its work to respond to crises worldwide. She first connected with the initiative during an official visit to Pakistan in 2016 and has since served as President before taking on the role of Patron.
Her visit also included a stop at Cornwall Air Ambulance’s base in Newquay, where she unveiled a new helicopter named The Duke of Cornwall. According to the palace, the aircraft will strengthen the charity’s ability to provide critical care across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Camilla’s upbeat appearance came shortly after reports of serious discussions at Balmoral. A royal insider revealed that Prince William is urging King Charles to streamline the monarchy. The heir to the throne reportedly believes this means cutting ties with Harry and Meghan Markle, including removing their HRH titles and their children’s royal privileges. Reports suggest Camilla supports this approach as well.
