Monarch expresses hope for a sustainable future as William continues his environmental mission
King Charles shared an emotional message about his life’s work and vision for the planet, following a passionate update from Prince William about the upcoming Earthshot Prize Awards.
Both father and son have long been committed to environmental causes, a passion the King instilled in his children early on. While William focuses on innovative global solutions through Earthshot, Charles continues to advocate for working in harmony with nature.
In his new documentary, Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, the monarch reflected on his decades of environmental advocacy. “My fondest hope is that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony,” he said. “We must help build a more sustainable future and work with Nature rather than against it.”
He added, “It has never been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to restore balance to our planet, which is under such stress.”
The upcoming documentary, airing in early 2026, showcases the work of The King’s Foundation across the world — from Guyana’s rainforests to sustainable communities in India, and projects closer to home.
Prince William’s recent speech on the Earthshot Prize highlighted similar urgency, underscoring the family’s shared mission to tackle environmental challenges through innovation and action — an effort deeply appreciated by the King.
