King Charles supports Harry and Meghan’s concerns in heartfelt message

The monarch echoed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s long-standing warnings about the dangers of social media and mental health impacts.

King Charles appeared to show support for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ongoing campaign for safer online spaces during his latest public address.

While visiting Manchester on Monday, the King expressed deep sympathy for victims of the Heaton Park synagogue attack, meeting survivors and members of the community. “I can’t tell you how sad I am,” he told the group, offering personal condolences and commending emergency responders for their swift actions.

According to Express.co.uk, the King also used the occasion to speak about the harmful effects of social media, urging society to “deradicalise” what people consume online and address the “ghastliness of digital media.”

His comments resonated strongly with the message long championed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have repeatedly spoken out about online toxicity and its effect on mental health. The couple were recently recognised with Project Healthy Minds’ Humanitarians of the Year Award on World Mental Health Day for their advocacy in promoting safe and positive digital spaces.

The King’s remarks came shortly after reports that he had asked Prince Andrew to relinquish his Duke of York title and royal honours amid renewed scrutiny over the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Despite the heavy royal developments, Charles’s words drew attention for aligning closely with Harry and Meghan’s concerns—signalling a rare moment of shared purpose within the royal family.
