King Charles, William, and Kate’s matching looks fuel speculation following Harry’s ‘men in grey suits’ remarks
Meghan Markle made a lively return to social media, releasing a new video soon after royal fans noticed what appeared to be a subtle message from senior royals directed at the Duke of Sussex.
On her official Instagram page, the Duchess of Sussex shared a cheerful clip promoting her lifestyle brand, As Ever. She captioned the video, “The girls are back in town and they brought a friend,” as she showcased new products from her collection.
Her post came shortly after King Charles, Prince William, Catherine, and the Duchess of Gloucester were all spotted wearing different shades of grey during their recent public outings. Many online followers saw this as a deliberate response to Harry’s previous criticism of the Palace’s “men in grey suits.”
One social media user joked, “All senior royals in grey. Cough cough! This is the shade of the century.”
For context, Harry had earlier accused Palace officials—whom he called “the men in grey suits”—of creating barriers between him and his father. A source close to the Duke’s team told the Mail, “The relationship between the Duke and His Majesty The King is a matter for the two of them and the two of them only. The men in grey suits should stay out of it.”
Despite the tension, Harry and King Charles privately reunited at Clarence House in September for tea. The meeting was viewed as a hopeful first step toward mending their strained relationship, though Buckingham Palace has yet to comment on Harry’s current role within the royal family.
