Delays over Prince Andrew’s future spark warnings of “huge damage” to monarchy
The royal family has been thrown into what one expert describes as a “panic” as King Charles continues his battle with cancer and tensions rise over Prince Andrew’s unresolved position within the monarchy.
Royal commentator Tom Bower sharply criticised Palace aides and senior royals for failing to act decisively on Andrew’s status despite mounting evidence of his connection to Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking to GB News, Bower warned that the ongoing indecision is eroding public trust and damaging the institution’s reputation.
“There’s panic in the Palace, rudderless leadership,” he said. “Everything is causing huge damage to the Royal Family and to Britain, and it was all predictable months, if not years, ago.”
Bower accused Palace officials of allowing the issue to “trundle on” until damaging emails surfaced in the press, suggesting even more incriminating revelations may follow. He urged swift action to prevent further embarrassment.
With the King’s health already a concern, Bower argued that stronger leadership is urgently needed. “Parliament should strip Andrew of his titles. He should be exiled,” he said. “We’ve got to call a halt to this before the Royal Family’s reputation is really very badly damaged.”
