The author and TV presenter quietly updates Companies House and her social profiles as she starts a new chapter
Sarah Ferguson has begun a fresh chapter by removing “Duchess of York” from Companies House filings and from her social media bios.
New entries for her company, Planet Partners Productions Limited, now list her as “Sarah Margaret Ferguson” rather than “Sarah, Duchess of York”. She updated her social profiles two days earlier and no longer uses the handle “SarahTheDuchess” on X, switching to “sarahMFergie15”.
The 66-year-old appears to be stepping forward without the royal styling after criticism over her past links to Jeffrey Epstein. The shift also comes as the royal family’s website reflects changes to Prince Andrew’s status, noting the return of his military affiliations and patronages and that he will not resume public duties.
Ferguson has updated her occupation on company paperwork from “director” to “charity patron, spokesperson, writer and TV presenter”, signalling where she intends to focus next.
What she’s planning
People close to Ferguson say she wants to rebuild her public image through new business and charitable work, keep a steady media presence, and strengthen family ties — especially with her daughters. For official purposes, she will now be known simply as Sarah Ferguson.
