King Charles Entrusts Princess Catherine with Special Role for Remembrance Day

Senior royals to reunite for the first time since Andrew’s downfall

King Charles has assigned Princess Catherine a meaningful duty as the royal family prepares to come together for this year’s Remembrance Day events. It will mark their first major joint appearance since the King formally cut ties with Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Royal commentator Rebecca English confirmed that the King, Queen Camilla, and senior members of the royal family will unite to honour those who served. The series of engagements includes the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on November 8, followed by the traditional Cenotaph service in London on November 9. Additional royal appearances remain under embargo.

With Prince William in Brazil for the Earthshot and climate conference, Catherine will lead an important remembrance duty on the King’s behalf. On November 11, she will visit the National Memorial Arboretum to take part in the Service of Remembrance at the Armed Forces Memorial, paying tribute to those who gave their lives in service.

The moment is expected to highlight both Catherine’s growing role within the monarchy and the family’s united front under the King’s leadership as they continue to navigate a new era without Andrew’s involvement.
