Palace Shares Heartwarming Update on Queen Camilla’s Celebration at Clarence House

Queen Camilla honours volunteers serving communities across the UK with a special Clarence House reception.

The Palace has released a touching update after Queen Camilla hosted a special celebration at Clarence House to recognise the nation’s unsung heroes.

The 78-year-old Queen welcomed volunteers from the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) and the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) to thank them for their commitment to providing meals and companionship to those in need.

A video shared on the royal family’s official Instagram account showed Camilla serving jacket potatoes alongside social media personality Spudman, in a light-hearted and friendly moment that delighted guests.

The Palace captioned the post: “Serving up spuds for volunteers!” and added, “This Meals on Wheels Week, Her Majesty hosted community volunteers and supporters from the NACC and @RoyalVolService at Clarence House.”

The statement praised the NACC’s work in delivering nutritious food and reducing loneliness across the UK, while highlighting the RVS’s new digital platform, GoVo, which helps connect people to flexible volunteering opportunities.

As a special gesture, guests enjoyed jacket potatoes prepared by Spudman himself, with Queen Camilla personally lending a hand in serving lunch.

The event reflected the Queen’s ongoing dedication to community service and social connection, celebrating those who make a difference in everyday British life.
