The Duke of Sussex jokes about royal life and dragons during candid chat with Hasan Minhaj
Prince Harry has revealed that he’s never seen Game of Thrones, despite once comparing life inside the royal family to the fantasy series.
During an appearance on Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know on October 29, the Duke of Sussex surprised both the host and listeners when he admitted he’s never watched a single episode. The confession came after a lighthearted exchange in which Minhaj asked what he should call the royal. When Harry replied that his first name was fine, Minhaj jokingly suggested “sir” and then “m’lord,” explaining, “I just watch a lot of Game of Thrones.”
Laughing, Harry asked, “Oh, do you? Are you a Game of Thrones fan?” before admitting, “Will I be judged for saying I’ve never actually got into it?”
Minhaj, taken aback, pressed further and asked what Harry does watch. After pausing, the Duke grinned and said, “That’s classified.”
While he may not have watched the hit HBO show, Harry has previously drawn comparisons between the series and royal life. In a 2023 interview with Anderson Cooper, he joked, “I don’t watch Game of Thrones, but there’s definitely dragons—and that’s the British press.”
