The Princess Royal remains composed and dedicated as her brother faces growing scrutiny and family tensions.
Princess Anne appeared cheerful and at ease during her visit to Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland, where she met rugby players at the Captain’s Team Run. It was her first public appearance since her brother Andrew was forced to vacate Royal Lodge, the Windsor residence he has occupied for over two decades.
At 75, the Princess Royal once again demonstrated why she’s often praised as one of the monarchy’s most reliable members—committed, grounded, and consistently focused on her duties. While her brother faces mounting difficulties, Anne continues to stand out for her modest approach, having declined royal titles for her children and avoiding extravagance.

Despite her calm exterior, sources suggest she is privately concerned for Andrew. Royal commentator Richard Kay told Palace Confidential that both Anne and Edward feel a “duty of care” toward their brother and have worried about how he’s coping with recent pressures.
The tension within the royal family has also been evident at public events. Anne and Andrew were seen speaking at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral last month, but William reportedly offered his uncle a noticeably cool reception.
Insiders say Anne, Edward, and Sophie were left disappointed with how King Charles handled the Royal Lodge matter, though Anne has continued to project unity and professionalism in her public role.
