Spokesperson confirms plans for humanitarian travel next year as Archewell leadership changes
Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing for overseas humanitarian trips in 2026, according to a new statement shared with the media.
The update was reported by GB News, which cited a spokesperson for the couple. While the statement confirmed that international travel is planned, no destinations were disclosed.
The information came as part of an announcement about changes at Archewell Philanthropies. James Holt, who has led the organisation since 2021, is stepping down as its head. He will, however, continue working closely with the couple as a senior philanthropic adviser.
According to the spokesperson, Holt will support Harry and Meghan during their humanitarian trips overseas in 2026, even after his transition out of the top role.
In recent years, the couple have maintained an active international schedule. In 2024, they travelled to Nigeria and Colombia as part of their charitable and advocacy work. In 2025, they visited Canada for the Invictus Games, while Harry also made a solo visit to the UK in support of charities he is patron of.
Earlier, Holt confirmed that he will be returning to London with his family, marking the end of his day to day leadership of Archewell. Despite the move, his continued involvement signals that the couple’s global humanitarian efforts remain a priority as they look ahead to 2026.
