Princess Beatrice and Eugenie’s Future Could Be Revealed Soon, Says Former Royal Butler

Grant Harrold suggests a decision is quietly being made behind palace doors

Former royal butler Grant Harrold has weighed in on what may lie ahead for their daughters, suggesting clarity about their future within the monarchy could come sooner rather than later.

Speaking to Reach Plc, Harrold addressed the mixed public reaction surrounding the sisters, particularly the criticism over how they have retained their princess titles despite their father losing his dukedom and military honours following the fallout from his association with Jeffrey Epstein.

According to Harrold, the situation is viewed very differently inside the family. He explained that King Charles continues to have a good relationship with his nieces, noting that they get on well with their cousins and have done nothing wrong themselves. At the same time, he pointed out that Charles is known for avoiding drama and personal fallouts.

Because there has never been a rupture between the King and his nieces, Harrold believes there is no reason to push them to the margins of family life. He suggested that invitations to events such as Christmas at Sandringham could even be a quiet signal of support rather than controversy.

In Harrold’s view, while Andrew has stepped back from public duties, his daughters remain part of the wider royal family, and that distinction still matters behind the scenes.

Grant Harrold, whose full name is Grant William Veitch Harrold, previously served King Charles III during his years as Prince of Wales. He left royal service in 2022 and now works as an etiquette expert and broadcaster.
