King Charles faces renewed backlash over Prince Andrew despite cutting public funding

King Charles is once again under fire over his handling of Prince Andrew, with critics accusing him of not going far enough to distance the monarchy from his brother’s scandal.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s continued presence in royal life has prompted fresh outrage, with some questioning Charles’s stance toward a man they believe “belongs in jail.” The anger is not limited to Andrew alone. It has also extended to his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Insight into the growing criticism comes from a source who recently spoke to the National Enquirer. According to the insider, the connection between Andrew and a convicted sex offender has crossed a line, especially after newly surfaced emails in which Sarah reportedly referred to him as “the brother I have always wished for.”

The source claimed there was initial relief when King Charles III removed royal titles and cut off taxpayer-funded support for the Duke of York. However, they added that his continued involvement in paying for Andrew’s housing has now become the main issue.

“There is no sympathy left,” the insider said, adding that any willingness to help Andrew rebuild his life has “totally evaporated” in light of the latest allegations.

The source went further, saying most members of the royal family now believe Prince Andrew should be in prison or, at the very least, should cooperate fully with victims and reveal everything he knows about his time connected to Jeffrey Epstein.

Instead, the insider claimed Andrew continues to rely on lawyers and royal support while insisting he is being unfairly treated. He reportedly argues that his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, would never have allowed him to be “demonised” in this way.

Behind closed doors, the source alleged that tensions within the family have reached breaking point. There have reportedly been angry confrontations, with some family members pushing for zero tolerance toward Andrew and Sarah Ferguson over what they describe as “vile” behaviour.

Earlier reports also accused Andrew of spending his time riding around Windsor rather than responding to calls from the United States Congress to give evidence. Critics say this shows a continued refusal to face the consequences of his actions or acknowledge the wishes of Epstein’s victims.

Together, these claims have placed renewed pressure on King Charles, who is now being urged to take stronger action against his brother to protect the monarchy’s reputation.
