Reality star admits the show wasn’t her idea and shares why she initially hesitated
Khloe Kardashian has opened up about how her reality series Khloe & Lamar actually came to life, and it turns out the idea didn’t start with her.
Speaking in the upcoming documentary The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, Khloe revealed that it was her then-husband, Lamar Odom, who pushed for the spin-off. At the time, she wasn’t entirely convinced it was the right move.
She explained that she was already juggling multiple commitments and felt overwhelmed, making the idea of another show difficult to embrace. Khloe also worried about how it might affect the wider Kardashian brand, which was already firmly established through Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
In her words, the reality star felt there were already enough shows centred around the family, and she was cautious about adding more to the mix.
Despite her hesitation, Lamar reportedly had a different perspective. After experiencing the spotlight that came with being part of the Kardashian world, he was keen to create something of his own and document his life more closely.
The series ultimately went ahead, offering fans a deeper look into their relationship during their marriage.
For context, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom married in September 2009, but their relationship came to an end after several years together.
