However, the rumours quickly fell apart after closer inspection. The source of the story was traced to a parody account made to resemble a real entertainment news page. Alongside the fake screenshot, the misleading post was convincing enough to fool many users and be widely shared.
There has been no confirmation from Gomez, Blanco, or any reliable media outlet regarding a breakup.
In fact, recent updates suggest the opposite. The Only Murders in the Building star recently shared a glimpse of her life and used the caption, “Mrs. Blanco,” strongly suggesting the couple are still happily together.
The pair tied the knot in September 2025. After sharing wedding photos, fans flooded social media with supportive messages. One user wrote, “This isn’t just a celebrity wedding, it’s a power merger.”
Another added, “No way… Selena Gomez really went from having the most analysed love life in Hollywood to marrying Benny Blanco. Half the internet thought this was just a phase, and now it’s permanent.”
