Buckingham Palace has shared a new update after Queen Camilla attended a special event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Ebony Horse Club during this year’s Badminton Horse Trials.
The Queen joined the Brixton-based charity to watch young riders demonstrate their horse-riding and equestrian skills as part of the celebrations.
Photos and video clips from the visit were later shared on the royal family’s official Instagram account, showing Camilla speaking with young members, instructors and staff involved in the charity’s work supporting disadvantaged young people.
The palace wrote in the caption: “Celebrating 30 years of @EbonyHorseClubBrixton!”
It added: “The Queen met members of the Ebony Horse Club as they demonstrated their skills during a display at Badminton Horse Trials. Her Majesty met young riders and staff members, who teach horse riding skills to disadvantaged young people at the charity’s centre in Brixton.”
The statement also highlighted Camilla’s connection to the organisation, noting: “The Queen is President of the Ebony Horse Club and Patron of the British Equestrian Federation.”
During the visit, Camilla reportedly praised the charity’s positive impact on young people over the past three decades.
She also met six-time Badminton winner Lucinda Green and broadcaster Clare Balding at the event.
