Catherine Reveals the Special Occasion When Her Children Stay Up Past Bedtime

Catherine has shared a sweet glimpse into family life at home, revealing the rare occasions when her children are allowed to stay up beyond their usual bedtime.

During a Buckingham Palace garden party on May 8, the Princess of Wales spoke about her family’s love for football and admitted that match nights can become quite lively in their household.

Catherine explained that her children become very excited while watching games alongside Prince William, adding that “they all make so much noise, even Louis.”

The future Queen revealed that although the children were unable to attend one recent match in person, they were given permission to stay awake later than usual to watch it at home.

The royal also opened up about another sport she enjoys, paddle, during conversations at the event.

Catherine shared that she has played the fast-growing sport with her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, and praised it as a fun activity for people of all skill levels.

“It’s such a good game,” she said, describing paddle as “a great leveller” even for those who do not play tennis regularly.
