Catherine has shared a heartfelt message about the importance of human connection as she continues her gradual return to public duties following her cancer battle.
The Princess of Wales reflected on the pressures of modern life in a new message released through the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood’s Instagram account.
The post highlighted Catherine’s introduction to Foundations for Life: A Guide to Social and Emotional Development, a new resource focused on supporting children’s emotional wellbeing during their early years.
In her message, the future Queen spoke about living in a world that often feels “distracted, fragmented and digital,” stressing the need to focus on meaningful human relationships.
“In a world which feels increasingly distracted, fragmented and digital, it is more important than ever to invest in what truly helps us to thrive: human connection,” Catherine wrote.
She also pointed to research showing that early relationships, experiences, and environments play a key role in shaping long-term health and happiness.
“Early childhood is a critical window for developing the social and emotional skills that become the bedrock of lifelong wellbeing and opportunity,” the Princess added.
Catherine concluded her message by urging people to place “care and connection at the heart of all we do” in order to build a future where “love can truly flourish.”
The Princess of Wales shared the message following her visit to the University of East London, where she met families, students, and experts while officially launching the new childhood development guide.
